Natural Language Formulas

Excel's Natural Language Formulas feature enables you to write formulas using references automatically derived from the column or row headings for cells.

For example, the formula in Figure 35 references the cells immediately to the right of the cells containing the text Sales and Cost. Excel can recognize the text as labels or names for the cells beside them, thus allowing it to understand the formula =Sales-Cost.
