Chapter 15. Producing a Slide Show > Creating a Return Button

Creating a Return Button

If you create an action button that branches to another slide, you will probably want an easy way to return. You can create a return button that allows you to resume your presentation at the point where you were before your detour.

To create a return button:

1.
In Slide view, go to the slide on which you want to create the return button.

2.
Click AutoShapes on the Drawing toolbar.

3.
Choose Action Buttons.

4.
Choose the Return (Windows) or Last Slide Viewed (Mac OS) button type (Figure 15.16).

5.
Drag a rectangular shape on the slide where you want the button to go.

When you release the mouse button, the Action Settings dialog box appears. The Hyperlink To field defaults to Last Slide Viewed (Figure 15.17).

6.
Click OK to close the dialog box.

The return button appears on the slide (Figure 15.18).
