Inserting/Removing Gridlines

Gridlines are the lines that extend from the tick marks on a chart's axes (Figure 5.26). They are useful for interpreting the actual values of the data points when you're not using data labels. Horizontal gridlines extend from the value axis, and vertical gridlines extend from the category axis.
