Choosing a Text Layout

When you insert a slide into the presentation, you are given the opportunity to choose a layout for the new slide. Of the 24 layouts for new slides, most have a text placeholder. (A text placeholder is simply a container for text.) Figure 3.4 points out some of the layouts that have placeholders for body text.
