The View Menu

The View Menu

The View menu contains commands for displaying the toolbars and page source, which page style and character encoding to use, and toggling the full-screen display.

COMMANDDESCRIPTION
ToolbarsDisplays the Toolbars submenu.
-Navigation ToolbarToggles the Navigation toolbar, which by default contains some basic navigation buttons, the Location field, and the Search field.
-Bookmarks ToolbarToggles the Bookmarks toolbar, which displays any bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder.
-Customize...Displays the Customize Toolbar screen, which lets you drag and drop toolbar buttons to and from the various toolbars.
Status BarToggles the status bar at the bottom of the screen. The status bar displays information about the web page being displayed as well as RSS and other status icons.
SidebarDisplays the Sidebar submenu.
-BookmarksDisplays the bookmarks in the sidebar.
-HistoryDisplays the History sidebar. You can adjust the way in which the history information is sorted by clicking View in the sidebar. This command is the same as Go | History.
StopStops loading the current page.
ReloadRefreshes the current web page.
Text SizeDisplays the Text Size submenu.
-Increase Text SizeIncreases the size of the text on the web page. (This applies to all pages displayed in this tab or window until you change it.)
-Decrease Text SizeDecreases the size of the text on the web page. (This applies to all pages displayed in this tab or window until you change it.)
-NormalResets the text display size to the default.
Page StyleDisplays the Page Style submenu.
-No styleRemoves the style formatting from the web page.
-Basic page styleDisplays the page with a general style specified by the web page’s author. (If additional page styles have been specified in the web page, they appear on this submenu.)
Character EncodingDisplays the Character Encoding submenu.
-Auto-DetectLets you select a character set to auto-detect from a list of character sets.
-More EncodingsLets you select a character set to auto-detect from several different classes of character sets.
-Customize ListDisplays the Customize Character Encoding so you can select and activate specific character sets.
Page SourceDisplays the source HTML and JavaScript code for the current document.
Full ScreenToggles the full-screen mode display.
