Seeing What Any Formula is Based On

Double-click any cell that has a formula in it, and Calc will show you, in color coded squares, exactly what cells the formula is based on. If you want to change the referenced cells, just click on the blue or red highlighted square and drag it to another cell. Or if the formula is based on a range, you can move or expand the range.

Note

After you've double-clicked in a formula, then whether you change the formula or not, always press Enter or Return to exit the cell. Don't click on a different cell to get out, or Calc will think you want that cell in the formula.
