Working with Colors, Borders, and Backgrounds

Another way to emphasize cells or cell ranges in a spreadsheet and just generally dress up your overall spreadsheet presentation is through the use of colors, borders, and backgrounds. Font color allows you to actually change the color of the font in a cell or cell range. Borders can be used to group certain cells or highlight individual cells. And backgrounds provide you with the ability to emphasize cells using color.

Each of these cell attributes can be accessed via the appropriate tool on the Object bar. Access to these features is also provided on the various tabs of the Cell Attributes dialog box.
