Expanding a Blend

Expanding a blend creates editable objects from each of the intermediary objects. There are two major reasons for expanding a blend. First, expanding complex objects is often a cure for printing problems. Second, the objects created with an expanded blend can be used independently. Figure 9.29 shows an example of the latter.

Figure 9.29. Using Specified Steps and a value of three, a door one-quarter open is produced. The other four doors can be discarded.
