Dynamic Data-Driven Graphics

Among the most powerful of Illustrator’s new capabilities is dynamic data-driven graphics. Web pages are designed as templates with image place-holders called variables. With proper scripting, the variables can access a database and retrieve images to fill those positions on the page.

Dynamic data-driven graphics aren’t just for the Web, either. Templates can be established in a print environment in order to fill variables from a data base for such projects as mailers, inserts, flyers, and business cards and letterhead.
