Part X: Appendixes > Taking Illustrator with You

Taking Illustrator with You

Sometimes you need to be mobile. You need to work on the road, stop by the print shop or service bureau, visit a client, or perhaps try to finish that one last project while traveling to your vacation spot. If you’re on the go, you’ll find this appendix handy in various situations. You might need to take Adobe Illustrator with you away from the office sometimes. Whether you own a portable computer or borrow one, you need to keep several points in mind.

Legalities

The document governing the installation of Illustrator on multiple computers is the End User License Agreement (EULA). In the case of individually owned copies of the program, you accepted the terms of the agreement when you installed Illustrator. If you are an employee of a company that purchased Illustrator, you are obligated to ensure that the company is not in violation of the agreement. The EULA is, by default, installed with the software on the hard drive. Section 2 is the applicable part of the agreement. You should make sure that you do not install multiple copies of a single-license program, except as allowed by the agreement.
