Style Libraries

Illustrator installs, by default, eight libraries of styles. One appears in the Styles palette; the others are available to load from the Adobe Illustrator folder on the hard drive. The default library for the document's color mode is automatically loaded when the file is opened (unless changes have been made to the document's Styles palette).

The command Window, Style Libraries allows you to add additional sets of styles to the document. The libraries appear in a separate floating palette. Although the available libraries for CMYK and RGB documents are parallel, they are not identical. Figure 14.18 shows a comparison.
