Final Thoughts

There are as many variations on the way corporate identity material may be designed as there are brands in the world. Each identity package will be—and should be—unique to the brand, putting different demands on your skills as an Illustrator user and as a graphic designer. Some designs will not even have a logo, and will be as simple as typing out contact information with the default text options (I will pray to the goddesses Creativia and Typographia that you never do anything so horrible as to deserve such a project).

Others will be far more interesting, involving not only full bleeds and exploded envelopes but also multiple types and sizes of envelopes, branded fax letterhead, folding business cards, die-cut letterhead, numerous spot colors, and non-standard sizes of everything. Follow the workflows you learned in this project and you will be able to build (and make changes to) any identity package, with a minimum of wasted time and effort.
