Final Thoughts

One drawback to the multiple-pages-in-one technique is that you cannot add crop, registration, and other marks. If you need them, print your document to PDF as usual. Open the PDF in Acrobat 7 Professional, and go to Tools > Print Production > Add Printer Marks.

If you don't have Acrobat 7 Professional, earlier versions of Acrobat can add printer's marks through File > Print > Advanced (button) > Marks and Bleeds. You can add them here for printing to a desktop printer, or you can refry the PDF—printing it from Acrobat to the Adobe PDF printer, thus printing a PDF from a PDF. Just remember to adjust the output size to include the space added by the marks.
