Drawing the Aperture

In this task, you will draw an aperture for the camera logo you created in Lesson 1. The aperture is the part on a camera lens that opens and closes to control the amount of light hitting the film or the sensor on a digital camera. By varying the diameter of the aperture, you control the intensity of light passing through the lens into the camera to expose the film.

After you draw the aperture, you will learn a technique to animate the opening and closing of the aperture. You’ll do all of the animation in FreeHand.
