Lesson 9. Creating Animations and Movies

Lesson 9. Creating Animations and Movies

Macromedia Flash movies are the hot ticket on the web. Flash movies look great when viewed on the screen, and they are generally small files that can be accessed even by those with dial-up access to the web. Many Flash designers have pushed the envelope of creativity to create projects that are interesting and fun to see and use. Flash uses vector graphics to create animations, but the drawing tools in Flash are not as sophisticated as those in FreeHand.

In this lesson, you will use FreeHand to create an aperture for a camera lens that would be almost impossible to draw in Flash. Then you will animate the opening and closing of the aperture. You’ll use the multiple-page function in FreeHand to create a slide show presentation and add some simple scripting to buttons so that they take you to the pages in the slide show.
