Lesson 6. Adding Special Effects > Pasting Contents Inside a Path

Pasting Contents Inside a Path

Have you ever tried to fit a square peg in a round hole? Sure, it fits when the peg is smaller than the hole, but what if the peg is larger? In FreeHand, you can paste a larger object within a smaller object. The larger object then fits within the path of the smaller object. Masking, clipping paths, and paste inside are terms you may have encountered in working with other applications that offer ways to use the path of one object as the frame or container for another object.

In this task, you will paste a photograph within the path of the text you converted in the preceding task.
