Lesson 6. Adding Special Effects > Using the Lens Fill

Using the Lens Fill

A lens fill attribute transforms a fill into any one of six special-effect lenses that modify the appearance of objects underneath the lens. FreeHand lets you invert colors or change the transparency, color, lightness, darkness, or magnification of the object. The lens fill offers a variety of creative possibilities that you may want to experiment with when you complete this task.

Note

Repeatedly applying lens fills to objects that already contain lens fills can increase the file size and cause printing problems. You cannot apply a lens fill to text unless the text has been converted to paths.
