Graphing with Graphics

What kind of illustration program would Illustrator be if it didn't allow you to create graphs with pictures? In a valiant effort to satisfy you, the customer, Illustrator lets you create pictographs, which are graphs in which series are represented by graphic objects. The graphics can form columns in a column chart, like the cent symbols in Figure 13.40, or they can appear as markers in a line or scatter chart. The following sections describe how pictographs work.
