Applying Automated Color Manipulations

The Filter » Colors submenu contains a total of ten filters that affect the colors of selected objects and imported images. You can use these filters to increase or decrease the intensity of primary inks and, in some cases, spot colors. Although the filters aren't nearly as capable or sophisticated as similar color-correction commands found in Photoshop, they do make it possible to edit multiple objects and colors simultaneously, which can save you a significant amount of time.

Adjusting Colors

The Filter » Colors » Adjust Colors command is Illustrator's most capable color-correction command. Choose the Adjust Colors filter to display the Adjust Colors dialog box, as shown in Figure 14.14. There are four types of colors that can be adjusted using this command:
