Applying the Overprint Options

A few color-related options appear in locations that might surprise you. The first two of these are the Overprint check boxes in the Attributes palette, spotlighted in Figure 14.12. These options control whether the color applied to the fill or stroke of the selected object mixes with the colors of the objects behind it. When the Overprint Fill or Overprint Stroke check box is turned on, the fill or stroke color overprints the colors behind it, provided that the fill or stroke color is printed to a different separation from the background colors.
