The one remaining method for duplicating objects allows you to drag an object from one illustration window and drop it into another. Naturally, you have to be able to see at the same time at least a little bit of the illustration window you're dragging from and the one that you're dragging into on your computer screen. Then, armed with the arrow tool or direct selection tool, simply drag one or more selected objects out of one window and into a background window, as illustrated in Figure 7.7. You can also use this technique to drag Illustrator objects onto InDesign pages.
