Batch Processing Actions

Batch processing is the term used to describe doing something to a large number of files at the same time. The batch command for actions allows you to apply an action to a large number of files. Let's say you have a folder of Illustrator art. You can use the batch processing command to apply the Save for Web command to convert all the files to a GIF or JPEG. In less time than it takes to feed the cat, you've converted all your files into Web graphics.

To apply the batch processing command, choose Batch from the Actions palette menu. The Batch dialog box opens, as shown in Figure 25.12. Set each of the options as follows:
