Dragging Stuff Around

Once you've selected a point or segment, you can move it around, changing its location and stretching its path. In fact, dragging with the direct selection tool is the single most common method for reshaping a path inside Illustrator. You can move selected points independently of deselected points. And you can stretch segments or move Bézier control handles to alter the curvature of a path. The next few pages explain all aspects of dragging.
