Creating a Blend

To create a blend, you must first select two or more paths. You can blend between paths that are by themselves, part of groups, or even compound paths. (Selecting only a single path from a group or compound path forces the entire path to join in the blend.) Although it is possible to blend an open path to a closed path, the results are often rather ugly. Paths should be filled and stroked similarly.

You can even blend one object with a stroke to another object without a stroke. The stroke width will decrease in size from one object to another.
