Creating SVG Graphics

Wouldn't you have loved to be one of the first people to broadcast television? Or make one of the first telephone calls? Or send the first fax? Well, that's what it is like creating SVG graphics in Illustrator. Illustrator was the very first major application that could export Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG). And now, Illustrator 10 is the first major application to import SVG graphics.

Working with SVG is a little like being a pioneer in the old West. The SVG format is still relatively new, so most people need to download an SVG viewer. They can get it from the Adobe Web site. Many Adobe programs, including Illustrator, now install the SVG Viewer when you install the Adobe program.
