Chapter 15. Special Effects > The PowerClip Command

The PowerClip Command

With the PowerClip command, you can put one object inside another. One object acts as a container, while the other serves as the contents. Any part of the contents that doesn't fit within the container's path is discarded.

To PowerClip two objects:

1.
Use the Pick Tool to select the object you want to use as the contents (Figure 15.28).

2.
Choose Effects > PowerClip > Place Inside Container.

The pointer changes to a large black arrow.

3.
Click the container object.

The contents object redraws inside the container object (Figure 15.29).

Figure 15.29. When you click the container object (the heart), the contents (the photo) is redrawn inside of it.
