SVG

The SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format allows you to incorporate interactivity and scalability into an optimized image. Unlike the bitmap formats GIF, JPEG, and PNG, which save as large files that require large bandwidth for Web viewing, SVG is a vector format that is based on XML. Shapes, paths, text, SVG filter effects, and color quality support are stored in a small, efficient file size. Currently, Web surfers must download an SVG plug-in to view graphics in this format. Keep in mind that many people won't bother to do this and will miss out on your artwork.
