Chapter 26. Output/Export > Outputting files

Outputting files

To print on a black-and-white or color PostScript printer:

1.
Choose File > Document Color Mode > CMYK, if necessary, before outputting to a color printer.

2.
Mac OS: Open the Chooser (Apple menu), click the desired printer driver, then close the Chooser.

Mac OS: Choose File > Page Setup (Cmd-Shift-P) .

Win: Choose File > Print Setup (Ctrl-Shift-P), then select a printer.

Choose a size from the Paper/Size pop-up menu, make sure the correct Orientation icon is selected (to print vertically or horizontally on the paper), then click OK.

Choose File > Print (Cmd-P/Ctrl-P).

6.
Mac OS: Choose Adobe Illustrator 10 from the pop-up menu .

Mac OS and Win: Choose PostScript®: Level 2 or 3 (depending on your printer and printer driver) .
