Chapter 2. How Illustrator Works > Keeping up with appearances

Keeping up with appearances

Attributes listed on the Appearance palette change an object's appearance without changing its actual underlying path . Appearance attributes that can be applied include multiple fills and strokes, transparency settings, blending modes, brush strokes, and Effect menu commands. Appearances, bless them, can be reedited, restacked, or removed at any time.
