Using styles

Styles are used to apply sets of attributes. Any kind of appearance attribute can be saved in a style, such as color, gradient, or pattern (stroke and fill); stroke attributes (weight, dash pattern, etc.); blending mode; transparency; or live effect. Even Attribute palette overprint options can be saved to a style. In short, any appearance attribute that can be applied to an object can also be saved as a style.

Styles are created, saved, and applied via the Styles palette . Each style's individual attributes, however, are listed on the Appearance palette, and the Appearance palette is also used to create or modify those attributes.
