To insert a menu item into an action's command list:

1.
Put the Actions palette in List mode (turn off the Button Mode option).

If the list for the action into which you want to insert the menu item isn't expanded, click the right-pointing triangle.

3.
To add a menu command to an action, click the command on the action list that you want the new command to follow .

Choose Insert Menu Item from the Actions palette menu.

Choose the desired menu command from the menu bar (the command name will appear in the Find field automatically) .

Type the command name into the Find Field, then click the Find button.

Click OK .

  • Object > Transform commands can be recorded for a selected object. Or use the Selection tool on the handles of the object's bounding box to reshape the object.

If you insert a stop into an action, the action will pause during playback to allow you to perform a manual operation, such as entering type or selecting an object. When you're finished with the manual operation, you can resume the action playback.
