Chapter 15. STROKES

Just as fills occupy the inside of objects, strokes surround the outside of objects. I always think of strokes as the egg shell that surrounds the inside fill. (However, unlike egg shells, the strokes in FreeHand don’t crack if you accidentally bump them into another object.)

If you think of strokes as simply thin fill colors, you’re very much mistaken. There are so many other things you can do with strokes that you can’t do with fills.
