Chapter 9. PATH OPERATIONS

Once you have created paths using any of the creation tools, you can modify those paths in a wide variety of ways. These modifica tions are called path operations.

Path operations are actions that start with one or more paths and combine or manipulate them into new shapes. For instance, you can use one shape, like a star, to punch a hole in the side of another shape, such as a circle. This is much faster and simpler than trying to manually draw a circle with a star cut out of its side.
