Chapter 12. LAYERS AND LAYERING > Using Paste in Front or Back

Using Paste in Front or Back

Since it may be tedious to choose Move Backward or Move Forward over and over, FreeHand offers two other ways to move objects within their layer.

To move objects using Paste Behind:

1.
Select the object that you want to move.

2.
Choose Edit > Cut 7.

Figure 7. To move an object using Paste Behind, select the object you want to move and then choose Cut.

3.
Select the object that you want in front of the original object 8.

Figure 8. Select the object that you want the object to be behind, in this case, the fifth circle.

4.
Choose Edit > Paste Behind. The original object is pasted behind the object you chose 9.

Figure 9. Choose Paste Behind. The cut object appears behind the selected object.
