Production workflow for a printed postcard

In the first part of the lesson, you will create a printed postcard announcing a seasonal event, using both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Both applications implement color management features almost identically.

In assembling art for the postcard, you will import and color-manage the continuous-tone art in Photoshop and do some editing, and then create a color gradient as part of the postcard design. You will convert each image to the final destination color space, U.S. Sheetfed Coated standard. The same color space can be set in Illustrator, which enables the image to maintain its visual appearance between applications.
