Chapter 8. SHARING RESOURCES ON THE NETWORK > Managing a Network Printer

Managing a Network Printer

Managing a network printer is more than just making sure the printer has a full toner cartridge and is loaded with paper. The network administrator has the ability to pause printing, delete certain print jobs, and even clear the entire print queue.

By default, the administrator account on the print server will have the ability to manage the print queue. You, as the administrator, can also provide certain users on the network with the ability to manage printers. This allows you to delegate some of the workload related to printer and document management.
