Gaining Access to a Shared Folder on the Network

In the previous exercises, you learned how to share files and folders on a Windows XP computer. Now you’ll learn how to use a Windows XP computer to gain access to files and folders that have been shared on other types of Windows computers on the network.

When you need to gain access to a shared folder on another computer, you can browse the network from your Windows XP computer in the My Network Places window. This window displays all the shared computers, printers, and other resources on the network.
