Securing Windows 2000 Servers

If you have Windows 2000 servers, you can use the following techniques and settings to secure your servers. You should set these in addition to what has already been discussed in this chapter and in Chapter 3.

Security Policy Settings

Table 4-1 represents the settings recommended for use on your Windows 2000 Server system. You can set or view these settings in the Security Options section of the Local Policies. These are found in the Local Security Settings applet of the Administrative Tools in the Control Panel.
