A key SOHO LAN use is to share high-speed Internet access among all network PCs or hosts. High-speed Internet access is provided through cable modems, digital subscriber line (DSL) modems, and other connections. A SOHO network connected to a router permits all connected PCs to share high-speed Internet access. This chapter shows how to implement such high-speed connection sharing.
