SUMMARY

VESA is the international nonprofit organization that sets and supports industry-wide electronic standards for the video, audio, and graphics interface of computer designs. It develops open, interoperable, and international standards for the global marketplace, thus ensuring worldwide market growth. It is headed by a board of directors representing a membership of more than 225 companies worldwide. The VESA home network specification allows consumers to connect together their disparate networks in the home, such as Ethernet, HomeRF, and other "no-new-wires" networks. It offers services such as directories, device existence and capability discovery, and network management. Visit VESA's Web site at http://www.vesa.org.
