Copying music onto your computer from your personal music CDs or the Internet has become one of the latest crazes. After the music is available on your computer, you can listen to it using your computer speakers, burn the music to CDs, or save it on handheld MP3 players, such as the Apple iPod. iTunes provides a great central location for organizing your sound files. You can sort the files into different playlists based on your own interests. See 57 Create Smart Playlists for more information on creating playlists in iTunes. You can burn customized CDs that contain your favorite songs, regardless of who sings the songs or what styles of music the songs represent. See 86 Burn an Audio CD and 87 Burn an MP3 CD for more information on creating music CDs from iTunes.
