Part: IV iDVD > Creating a DVD

Chapter 20. Creating a DVD

IN THIS CHAPTER:

162 Add an Autoplay Movie to the DVD

163 Preview the DVD Content

164 Control the Playback Quality

165 Burn a Test Version on a DVD-RW

166 Burn a DVD

The main purpose for using iDVD is to burn a commercial-quality movie on a DVD complete with menus. After creating the DVD menus and adding the desired movies and slideshows, you are ready to burn the contents of your iDVD project to a DVD. You can burn a DVD only if you have a DVD burner connected to your computer. Most new Apple computers come with a SuperDrive that allows you to burn DVDs using DVD-R and DVD-RW media. See 135 About DVDs for more information about DVD burners and the DVD media you can purchase to create a DVD in iDVD.
