About the Creative Team

Nan Barber (copy editor) co-authored Office X for the Macintosh: The Missing Manual and Office 2001 for Macintosh: The Missing Manual. She's the principal copy editor for the Missing Manual series, having edited the Missing Manual titles on Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, AppleWorks 6, iMovie, Dreamweaver, Windows XP, and iPhoto. Rose Cassano (cover illustration) has worked as an independent designer and illustrator for 20 years. Assignments have spanned everything from the nonprofit sector to corporate clientele. Dennis Cohen (technical reviewer) has served as the technical reviewer for many bestselling Mac books, including several editions of Macworld Mac Secrets and most Missing Manual titles. Karl Petersen (iMovie troubleshooting section) lives with his wife, Joan, and a collie on Bainbridge Island, WA, a 30-minute ferry ride from Seattle. (It's the ferry Michael Douglas runs onto in Disclosure.) A break between jobs (including a stint in the Peace Corps and a career in insurance) gave Karl the chance to explore the first Macs, and he never looked back. He also writes software.

Joseph Schorr (co-author, iPhoto chapters), a former Macworld contributing editor, began collaborating with David Pogue in 1982—on musical comedies at Yale. Years later, they co-authored six editions of Macworld Mac Secrets. Now that Joe is a product manager at Apple, he's not technically supposed to work on books like this. Still, many chapters of this book are based on his original prose.

Phil Simpson (design and layout) works out of his office in Stamford, Connecticut, where he has had his graphic design business since 1982.
