Chapter 1. iPhoto > Use the Keywords pane to find photos

Use the Keywords pane to find photos

1.
Click the Keywords button (the key icon circled, shown to the left) to show the Keywords pane. Click again to hide the Keyword pane.

2.
Click a keyword in the list to show all photos that have that keyword assigned. The selected keyword is highlighted and all relevant photos are shown in the viewing area. You can choose more than one keyword at a time to search.

Option-click on a keyword in the list to hide all photos that contain that keyword (the keyword button turns red). To show only photos that do not have keywords assigned, Option-click all keyword buttons.

3.
Click a keyword again to remove it from the search criteria.

You can also click “Reset” (the circle-x) to clear the search results from the viewing area and show all photos in the selected album.
