Chapter 4. iDVD > Create a Slideshow

Create a Slideshow

A DVD slideshow is a convenient and dramatic way to present your photos to friends, family, clients, or customers.

1.
Click the “Media” button in the Customize drawer, then select “Photos” from the pop-up menu.

2.
Select an album (folder) from the list of iPhoto albums and drag it to the menu. iDVD automatically creates a button named for the album.

Or drag a folder of photos from the Finder to the menu to create a slideshow button that is named the same as the folder of photos.

Or click the “Slideshow” button on the bottom of the window to create an empty slideshow button called “My Slideshow.” If you use this technique, you must use the Slideshow editor (shown on the next page) to add photos to the slideshow.

3.
To open the Slideshow editor, double-click the new slideshow button that appears in the menu.

4.
Use the Slideshow editor to customize your slideshow.

iDVD resizes the photos in a slideshow to 640 x 480 pixels, and converts them to a resolution of 72 ppi—official DVD specifications for slideshows.
