Chapter 4. iDVD > The Slideshow editor window

The Slideshow editor window

To add additional photos to a slideshow, drag an entire iPhoto album, multiple photos, or a single photo from the Photos pane (or from the Finder) to the Slideshow editor window. As you drag items to the editor window, a black line indicates where the item will be placed when you drop it (shown on the right).

To rearrange the order of photos in a slideshow, drag one or more photos up or down the list of images in the editor.

To delete photos in a slideshow, select one or more photos, then hit the Delete key.

Navigation arrows.

To make a slideshow repeat, click the “Loop slideshow” checkbox.

To display Back and Next arrows during a slideshow, click the “Display navigation” checkbox. If the “Slide Duration” pop-up menu is set to “Manual,” the Back and Next arrows can serve as reminders to use the DVD remote control (or the keyboard's arrow keys) to change slides.

Add files to DVD-ROM: Click this checkbox to add the original, full-resolution photos to the final DVD. When you burn your project to a DVD, a folder containing the original photos will be on the disc, accessible for anyone who has a computer with a DVD drive. This option can also be set in the iDVD preferences (page 214).
