Avoid Battery Memory Problems

Use home automation techniques to sensibly recharge your often-used battery-powered devices.

If you have an electric razor, toothbrush, or other battery-powered device that you use for short intervals nearly every day, you’ve probably had it go dead at exactly the most inconvenient time. Who can remember to charge these things on a regular basis? If you’re not paying attention, they’ll run out of juice. If you charge them too often, you risk limiting their life by inducing the dreaded battery memory effect, exhibited by its refusal to hold a charge for more than a few uses. You can’t win either way, but luckily your home automation system can rescue you from this mundane, and maddening, chore.
