Chapter 8.  Working Magic  >  Using iTunes Music in iLife Applications

Using iTunes Music in iLife Applications

While your iPod is supplied with iTunes, you may already have had iTunes because it comes with the iLife suite of applications for every Mac.

A day in the iLife might include ripping some music CDs with iTunes to use with your iPod on the road, and transferring the photos from your digital camera into your iPhoto library, then assembling a slideshow of the photos in iPhoto and setting it to music, which you have in your iTunes library. You can then bring video footage from your DV camcorder into iMovie and make a music video with all these elements. Finally, you can use iDVD to put together eye-popping menus and buttons to show off the music video and slideshow and anything else you may have, using the music in your iTunes library, and burn a DVD that your friends can play on an everyday DVD player.
