Chapter 8.  Working Magic  >  Turning On Web Radio

Turning On Web Radio

With iTunes on your Mac or MusicMatch Jukebox on your Windows PC, you can “turn on” and listen to broadcast streams from radio stations on the Internet that represent nearly every area of the world. You can tune into foreign and domestic music and talk radio, and even check out the local news and sports.

You can’t record or save a song from a broadcast stream without special software (or by rerecording the stream as it comes into your computer). Therefore, it is not likely that you will put music from a Web radio stream into your iPod. But you can add your favorite stations to your music library or to a playlist to tune in quickly and easily. You can also tune in any Web radio or streaming broadcast if you know the Web address.
