Adding Notes to Your iPod

You can add text notes, such as credits and liner notes about music, or information you need while traveling, that you can subsequently view on the iPod screen. To add notes to your iPod, follow these steps:

  1. Create a text file with a text-editing or word-processing program (such as TextEdit on the Mac, or Notepad in Windows).

  2. Save the text as an ordinary text file (with the filename extension “.txt”).

  3. Mount your iPod as a disk, as described earlier in this chapter.

  4. Drag the text file to the Notes folder of the iPod, as shown in Figure 6.10.
